Ireland has a rich tradition for those of the Catholic faith. Visit
the land of St. Patrick and the Shrine at Knock where in 1879, Our
Lady, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist appeared at the Parish
Church. The apparition was witnessed by fifteen people, and from
this miraculous occurrence Knock has grown to become an internationally
recognized Marian Shrine.

• Depart Galway and drive the Connemara Peninsula.

• Continue to Murrisk and visit the Croagh Patrick Visitor
Centre at the base of St.Patrick’s Holy Mountain.

Eight

• Visit the Shrine of Knock, the Church of the Apparition
and the Basilica.
• Attend daily Mass in the Church of the Apparition.
• In the afternoon visit Ballintubber Abbey, founded by the
King of Connacht in the 5th century and dedicated to St. Patrick,
where Mass has been said for the past 750 years.
• Participate in candlelight Rosary Procession.
